1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Sec Auto’s website secauto.co.za, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree, refrain from using the Site. These Terms apply to all transactions, including purchases, returns, and warranties.
2. Order Processing & Delivery
2.1 Order Confirmation

Orders are subject to stock availability. A confirmation email will be sent upon payment verification. If items are unavailable, you will be notified within 1–2 business days, with options for a refund, replacement, or store credit.
2.2 Delivery

Local (South Africa): Dispatched within 2 working days via courier. Delivery times vary (2–8 days), with free shipping on all orders.

Remote Areas: Deliveries may be routed to collection points (e.g., PostNet).

International: Available via FedEx/DHL; customs duties are the customer’s responsibility.
2.3 Delays & Failed Deliveries

Failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses may incur redelivery fees. Unclaimed items after 2 attempts will be refunded (excluding shipping costs) 8.
3. Returns & Refunds
3.1 Eligibility

7-Day Cooling-Off Period: Unused, uninstalled items in original packaging may be returned for a full refund (excludes custom orders, batteries, and installed equipment) 414.

Defective Items: Covered under a 6-month warranty (CPA Section 56). Customers may choose repair, replacement, or refund 1114.
3.2 Process

Request Authorization: Email returns requests to Sec Auto with order details and photos (if defective).

Approval: Return instructions will be provided. Customers cover return shipping unless the error is ours.

Refund: Issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days post-inspection.
3.3 Non-Returnable Items

Custom-built gate motors, perishables (e.g., batteries), and safety gear (unless defective).
4. Warranties & Repairs

Standard Warranty: 6 months for manufacturing defects. Warranties are void if products are modified or misused.

Repairs: Prioritized over refunds. Customers must provide proof of purchase and serial numbers.
5. Payment & Security

Accepted Methods: We use Payfast to process payments. They facilitate a variety of payment options. Card details are not stored on the Site.

Fraud Prevention: Orders may be held for verification. Chargebacks will result in account suspension.
6. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data is processed per POPIA. We do not sell data to third parties. Cookies are used for analytics only.
7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Disputes will be resolved under South African law. Unresolved issues may escalate to the National Consumer Commission.
